Show OUK CORRESPONDENTS. TO(Jl'El!VlLLE. Richard Higbee has gone to work in the mines at Silver Reef. Warren Cox of St. George was here on business on the 4th inst. A number of the boys have gone to the head of south Ash creek to put in a crop of potatoes. Bros. Maeser, Ure, and Morris visited and held meetings with us on the 3rd inst. Their instructions were valuable and much appreciated. Mrs. Kate Hammond of Manti left for home on the 7th inst. accompanied by Miss Georgenia Spilsbury. The latter intends to spend the summer visiting friends and relatives in the north. The Home Dramatic Co. gave a missionary mis-sionary benefit on the 3rd inst., reproducing repro-ducing "The Serf," followed by the farce "The Persecuted Dutchman." The following evening they played in Virgin. , W.. D.- Jackson was elected County delegate to the State Republican convention con-vention on the 3rd inst. He left for Salt Lake City on the 1th inst.,- and expects to remain in the north during , the summer. James Z Naegle and Miss Annis Jackson launched forth on the sea of matrimony on the 1st inst. A host of friends and relatives were entertained at a reception given the next day at the home of the bride's mothe. The closing clos-ing feature of the occasion was a grand ball in the evening given by the bridegroom. bride-groom. Peace, plenty, joy and happiness happi-ness were characteristics of the occasion, occas-ion, and we trust this is but typical of their future. Druggist W. W. Hammond is on the sick list. Harvesting of the first crop of hay commenced this week. Alma Steele has returned from Deer Lodge as he was unable to obtain work there. R. H. Duffm returned from the Sevier Sev-ier on the 11th inst. He had been there on business. James Stansworth of Grafton and Miss Hirschi of Rockville passed thru town on the 14th inst. enroute to the Temple to be made "one." Mrs. Ella Granger has gone to Deer Lodge, Nevada, to join her husband, who has been working there for some time. They expect to make their home there for the present. |
