Show FIGHT NEAR DORDRECHT. A Six Hour Engagement In Which Britons Are Forced to Retire. London, Jan. 1. A telegram from Sterkstroom, dated December 31, says: "Captain Montmorency of the Twenty, first Lancers, with a patrol of 120, was reconnoitcriug eight miles north of , Dordrecht. He met the Boers at La-buschagne's La-buschagne's uek. They opened fire and. the British replied. The fighting continued con-tinued for six hours when the Boers received strong reinforcements, including includ-ing artillery. Captain Montmorency retired and took a defensive position at Dordrecht.
