Show WASIIIXGTON. Mrs. Robert Parker is very ill. The married and single ladies played a game of baseball on Christmas ofay, the losing side to give a supper. Mrs. Mary Maxwell and Mrs. Millie Iverson made it quite lively for the chasers while they had their innings. Miss Julia VanOrden, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. E. VanOrden, and Angus Sproul were married in the St. George Temple on Wednesday, the 27th ult. and a most enjoyable gathering was held in honor of the marriage at the home of the bride's parents. The presents were numerous and useful, and the young couple were the receipi-ents receipi-ents of many hearty congratulations. While Joseph Crawford was coming from the mountains with a load of wood on the 21st ult. his load tipped over on him. James Averitt came along shortly after and found him unconcious, but after releasing him from his perilous per-ilous situation, he soon showed signs of recovery. He was taken to St. George the next morning where Dr. Affleck found one of his wrists broken and the other dislocated. |
