Show LEEDS. We are all enjoying good health here. This is hardly worthy of note as this is probably the most healthy place in the country and perhaps in the state. Crop prospects are good, out' water holding out far beyond our expectations, expect-ations, Our fruit was hurt considerably consider-ably by the late frost, plums and apricots apri-cots being all destroyed. Peaches are not more than one-fifth of an average crop. Apples, pears aud grapes are good. Harvesting wheat, is., in progress. pro-gress. The second crop of luceru wil-be wil-be tackled next week. Our mining interests are about as usuaJ. Chloriders are busy extracting ore. aud some claim the prospects are good for the future. While, our min- ing interests are on a sniall scale, owing to the low price of silver, it is of much benefit to -the county, as from eighteen to twenty .thousand dollars worth of bullion is shipped annually from here. " , Our worst drawback here is lack of sufficient population to give material aid in erecting schools aud in works of a public nature. We are in hopes this will 1.' overcome in the future. Owing to its healthy local ion and central cen-tral situation, on the main thoroiare of our county and witii good water-power water-power facilities, it should lie a splendid splen-did place for maunfacturiegenterpi-ises as oui' state irows iu ' oojiu la t ion and wealth. t . .
