Show Line Will Be Suilt, The Salt Lake Tribune of the 28th ult. states that Pres Collis P. Huntington Hunt-ington of the Southern Pacific was interviewed by The Tribune in his private car at Ogden, several other officials being present, and stated that the Salt Lake-Los Anireles line would be built. "When pressed for details regarding the southern Utah route Mr. Huntington replied that there were several surveys and the best one would be selected, but beyond the fact that the line would be built he had no news to communicate. As the bare admission admis-sion that reports published in San Fransisco were correct is of the utmost importance, the interview, brief as it was, can be regarded as the biggest piece of railroad news published in Utah for many years." |
