Show LOS ANGELES ROAD. Los Angeles Herald: Martin Marsh will leave in a short time for Salt Lake City, where he will go overland oh the proposed route of the railway which Mr. Woltman of Kesseler & Co., the New York bankers, says will at once be built between this and that city. Mr. Marsh will have part of the work of construction to do, and goes with the idea of familiarizing himself with the country and what will be required in the way of men and teams and the like. Mr Woltman said before he left that in order to hasten the work of building as much as possible, comparatively compara-tively short lengths of the line would be allotted to different contractors. His statements about the immediate commencement com-mencement of the work to Mr. Marsh were straight forward and positive. Mr. Marsh also expresses himself of the opinion that if the work was done as expected, in short lengths, it could be completed in a year's time |
