| Show state legislators pay dixie a isit A distinguished party qt visitors paid st george a visit last saturday the party consisted of senator and mrs senator bradley senator elizabeth hayward senator bevan mr hayward representatives alma greenwood card on and wife ballard and wife jacobs and wife miles nellson miss ander son mrs A W mcewan trustee of the agricultural college logan dr peterson pres of the agricultural college and wife principal roy F homer of the B A 0 dr mac darlane of cedar city bishop H H lunt and aslton jones of cedar city on word being received here that the party was en route a party of our leading citizens left in autos for washington io meet them the par ty arrived at washington about p m and after getting acquainted left for st george arriving here at 8 80 after being comfortably located at the various hotels and supper a nice visit was bad alth our prominent citizens the silver band turned out and discoursed good music which was much appreciated by the visitors the object of the visit was simply to see the country the legislative party was visiting the B A C at cedar city when principal homer suggested that they visit dixie and see the condition of its roads and also visit subterranean water supply sources on the desert the suggestion was acted upon the party intending to visit water resources sites on return to cedar city tb party left here tor return about a m sunday |
