Show resolution WHEREAS owing to the extreme dry season creating a water shortage in the st george and cottonwood canal which Is the source of the water supply of the st george water system there Is now a water shortage so that the users 0 the higher portion ot the system are without water or the pressure low especially at evenings and nights the superintendent by measurements taken has determined that at the time of the greatest shortage la hat period following the lawn sprinkling period which is from ap m till ap m by such investigation it has been demonstrated that to continue to allow the sprinkling ot lawns would require all of the upper portion of the system to go without water for drinking and other purposes the period tor which lawn sprinkling has been paid for being completed uly let 1918 biow therefore bo it resolved by the city council of st george that the superintendent of water works be and he Is hereby instructed to issue no permits for lawn sprinkling nor assess any person therefore any person violating any of the provisions of this resolution shall be prosecuted no sprinkling shall bo allowed after rpm july ard 3rd 1919 passed by the city council of the city of st george this day of june A D 1919 councilmen andrus cottam and brooks voting aye councilmen matali and cannon absent and not voting approved by ALBERT E MILLER mayor attest G E MILES city recorder county of washington state of utah ES city of st george I 1 george E miles recorder of the city of st george utah do hereby certify that the above is a full true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the city council of the city of st george utah on the day of june 1919 G 13 MILES beal city recorder |
