Show LEEDS Mrs. Evelyn McMullin Reporter Miss Ruby Savage is visiting in San Diego this week with her brother, T.M.3C J. Harvey Savage, Sav-age, who is stationed at the Naval repair base there. Mr. and Mrs. John Long were here over the week end from Boulder City, because of the illness ill-ness of Mrs. Long's mother, Mrs. Dallice Hartman. They stayed over an extra day until Mrs. Hartman's condition was enough improved to enable her to return with them where she could be cared for. Russell Christensen and Warren Platte of Newcastle were Sunday visitors here. There is lots of sickness in town at present. People have termed it' the "old-fashioned flu". Miss Myrtle Henderson and Mrs. eBssie Gardner of the stake Sunday school board were in attendance at-tendance at our Sunday school, Dec. 12th. Mr. and Mrs. Mack Jackson and daughter, Nancy Rose, visited friends here on Sunday. Speakers at our Sacrament meeting Sunday were Walter Pace and Wayne Gardner. Their remarks re-marks were much enjoyed. Sgt. Omar Lidie called on friends here on Monday. He was making a transfer from the west to the east coast. Sgt. Lidie spent about three years here in the CCC camp. Val McMullin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max McMullin had the misfortune mis-fortune to get hit in the head with a rock while playing with a group of boys a week ago. He has been confined to his bed since as it caused an abcess to form, which has made him very ill. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Sullivan are taking their daughter, Glena, to Salt Lake City this week for-a for-a check-up and continued treatment. treat-ment. Mrs. C. E. Allen accompanied accom-panied them to visit with her daughter, Alene, and her son, Pvt. Stewart Allen, who is stationed at Fort Douglas. |
