Show SPRIN6DALE Mrs. Stirling Seegmiller Reporter Word has been received here bj relatives of the marriage of Irii Gilford, former resident of Spring-dale, Spring-dale, to Francis Branson. Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Ruesch have returned to Salt Lake City after spending part of the holidays holi-days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ruesch. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Durphy and daughter visited briefly in town Friday with friends and relatives, rel-atives, enroute from California to I their home in Lovell, Wyo. Miss Erma R. Smith has returned re-turned home from a month's visit in Ogden with her sister, Mrs. Clair Baker and family. Mr. and Mrs. Linford Christ-sensen Christ-sensen returned to Escalante on Sunday, where he is teaching school. They spent the holidays here. Students who spent the holidays home were: Duard Millett, Misses Lazon Jackson and Lora Christen-sen Christen-sen from the B. A. C; Verdon AllrecTfrom the B. Y. U. ; and Alta Jollev from the A. C. Wendell Seegmiller has gone to Salt Lake City to seek employment. employ-ment. The Gold and Green Ball was held here Friday evening. Miss Clara Ruesch was chosen queen, with Lorna Jolley and Opal Bean as attendants. Clark Dennett was crown bearer and Judy Percy and Melva Gifford were flower girls. A large crowd attended in spite of the cold weather. Two one-act plays were presented pre-sented here last Tuesday evening by Rockville and Springdale. They were presented as part of the Budget program. Mr. and Mrs. Dwane Davis spent New Year's Day at Pan-guitch Pan-guitch with relatives. Jay Jackson, who is employed at aircraft work in California, spent Christmas at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Russell. He returned the following follow-ing Monday. Word has been received by relatives rela-tives of the birth of a baby boy to the lormer Ruby Winder in the Cedar hospital. Miss Pearl Winder was married Christmas Day to a Mr. Kelsey of Beaver. Born, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Angus Hall of Tropic. She is the former Sadie Dalley. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olsen announce the marriage of then-daughter, then-daughter, Clara, to Vernon Ruesch, who is home for a few days' visit from the Army. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bell of Las Vegas spent a few days during dur-ing the holidays at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilson. Calvin Ruesch has returned to Pasadena, where he is employed, after spending a few days home for Christmas. Elmer Roundy left Tuesday for California with his family. They will reside there while he is employed em-ployed there. Henry Wilson has been called to St. George to serve on a jury. |
