Show ROCKYILLE Mrs. Philetus Jones Mrs. Newell DeMffle Reporter Craig, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Hirschi, was taken suddenly sick last Friday with pneumonia. They rushed him to the Iron county hospital and placed him in an oxygen tent. At last reports he is recovering. Bishop and Mrs. Waldon Ballard, Bal-lard, son Dean, Heber Hirschi and Mrs. Grace Hirschi spent Saturday Satur-day in St. George on business. We are having quite a seige of flu and bad colds, many suffering suffer-ing with severe ear aches. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Averett and two sons from Boulder City spent Saturday and Sunday here with Mrs. Averett's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hirschi. Rulon Langston of Pipe Valley spent Thursday here on business. Daniel Hirschi has been quite ill the past few days. The sympathy of this community com-munity goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olsen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ruesch, also the young husband, S.Sgt. Vernon Ver-non Ruesch, in the passing of their daughter, daughter-in-law, and wife, Mrs. Clara Olsen Ruesch last Saturday morning, after many months of suffering. Vernon is in the service at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., and has been called home several times, because of her critical illness. Mrs. George Atherly left Saturday Sat-urday for Columbia, Mo., for an indefinite time. Mr. Atherly is stationed there. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Everett and sons, Bruce and Garry, of Boulder City spent the week end visiting Mrs. Everett's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hirschi. Mrs. Leo Hirschi spent Saturday Satur-day in St. George visiting her sister, Mrs. Bill Bleak and Marcia Terry. Jerry Graff and Brice Woodbury Wood-bury were visitors over the week end with Erald Ballard and Rodney Rod-ney DeMille. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Ballard were business visitors in Kanab, last Wednesday. Wendell, lone and Fawn DeMille, De-Mille, spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day in Orderville, visiting Mrs. Delia Gale. Mr. and Mrs.' Jesse Gifford gave their wedding dance Wedding Wed-ding dance Wednesday night. The large crowd that attended, had a very good time. Mrs. Marvin Terry has been confined to her bed with heart trouble, but is improving. Saturday night a basketball tournament was held in our recreation rec-reation hall with teams from here and Springdale competing. A large crowd attended and report it a big success. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Jones and daughter, Alice, of Washington, spent Sunday visiting Mr. Jones' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hirschi of Boulder City spent Tuesday visiting visit-ing Mr. Hirschi's mother, Mrs. Warren Hirschi. |
