Show Miss Irene Carter and O. Kudeen Allred Married at Temple Tuesday Pres. Harold S. Snow performed the ceremony in the St. George Temple at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, uniting in marriage Miss Irene Carter of this city and O. Rudeen Allred of Ogden. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Carter and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Allred of Ogden. The romance had its inception in Ogden where Miss Carter has been employed the past several months; Mr. Allred returning to his home town last October from the Tahitian L.D.S. mission. Attending the Temple ceremony were the parents of both bride and groom, the bride's family, including in-cluding Mr. and Mrs. Ray Larsen of Washington, Mrs. Orval Lam-oreaux Lam-oreaux of Paragoonah. Mr. and Mrs. Lothair Mangum of Circle-ville; Circle-ville; her garndmother. Jane Carter, Car-ter, and aunts Mrs. Claud Cannon and Mrs. Lee Adams of St. George: the groom's brother Vernon and wife, and Mrs. J. Garner and Mrs. Gladys Wight, all of Ogden. Following the ceremony the wedding party was honored with a family dinner at the home of the bride's parents. Late Tuesday evening eve-ning the couple left for a tour of the Southern Utah Parks before be-fore returning to Ogden to make their home. The bride's wedding gown was : of white satin, cut on old fashioned fashion-ed lines with sheared front of the basque bodice and a full length train. It was the handiwork handi-work of her sister-in-law. Miss Allred of Ogden. Complimenting the bride prior to her marri.ve were: her sisters. Mrs. Ray Larson of Washington and Miss Barbara Carter, assisted by Mrs. DeVere McAllister, a former school companion, gave a ImisoelUneo!!. shower at the Carter Car-ter home last Saturday evening. Toasts to the bride, the making of a bride's book and guessing tamos furnished the evening's entertainment, en-tertainment, following which light refreshments were served. |
