Show Home Economics Department Girls of Hurricane High School Serve 35 Daily The summer home project work being sponsored through the Hurricane Hur-ricane Home Economics Department Depart-ment is serving the maximum number of girls, which is thirty-five. thirty-five. Splendid parent and student cooperation is being given the project, pro-ject, reports Miss Fern Starr, supervising teacher. Hurricane, LaVerkin, Toquerville Pintura, Virgin and Springdale all have' girls carrying on summer home projects. The Hurricane third year 4-H sewing club held their opening meeting here, June 12. Officers elected were: Carroll Burgener, president; Dorothy Whitney, vice-president; vice-president; Leila Barber, secretary; Charline Tweedie, reporter; and Miss Jean Riding and Miss Vaun ! Sanders as teachers. Refreshments were served and plans for this summers work discussed. |
