Show Enterprise Lions Club Take City Side Walk Project as Main One for 1945-46 ENTERPRISE, Utah Set as the 1945-46 project for the Enterprise Lions club is the leveling up and laying cement on the . city sidewalks. side-walks. The work is expected to start early this fall, reports William Wil-liam A. Barlocker, publicity chairman. chair-man. At their regular meeting held June 18, the Lions elected their officers for the ensuing year. Grant Clove was elected president; presi-dent; Mr. Barlocker, first, Marion L, Terry, second, and E. J. Adair, third vice presidents; John Day, secretary treasurer; Mark Balcn, tail twister; Carl Foster, Lion tamer, Alwyn. Jones, John Bos-shardt, Bos-shardt, one-year director; Alma Truman and Roland Bowler, holdover hold-over directors. The club reports a very satisfactory satis-factory program since its organization organi-zation in March, 1945. Recently they sponsored the Used Clothes drive for foreign nations, with excellent results. They have also completed the grading, leveling and graveling of the city streets, and were successful in obtaining a large quantity of legal sized fish which have been planted m the Enterprise reservoir. The club is uniting with the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce in sponsoring spon-soring the 1945 Pioneer Week Rodeo, set for July 24 and 25. Six new members haw joined the club, recently. They are John Laub Lester Canfield, William j Jones Paul Thompson, Stanton I Jones and Athna Terry. |
