Show Youth Leaders Meet Scheduled At College Fcr Saturday Evening A conference for scout and other boy leaders of four southern south-ern Utah counties will be held in St. George Saturday night at 3 o'clock in the Dixie college auditorium. Five or more Utah national parks offfcials will be present to discuss current problems prob-lems and to give inspiration to those attending. Participating in the conference confer-ence will be leaders from Iron, Beaver, Kane and Washington counties. Heading the list of speakers will be Rulon Doman, council scout executive. Definitely scheduled to accompany Mr. Doman, according to W. Tell Gubler, local field executive, are J. W. Jones, president of the council, and Melbourne Wallace, of the BYU faculty, chairman of leadership training. Other speakers speak-ers have not yet been named. Mr. Gubler will also take part in the discussions. Invited to attend the conference confer-ence are all boy leaders of the four counties. These include: Stake presidencies, high councils, bishoprics, Aaronic Priesthood leaders, stake and ward presidencies presiden-cies of MIA, troop and explorer committeemen, scoutmasters and explorer leaders, district scouting committeemen and all others interested in-terested in boy welfare. A general meeting will be held in the auditorium at 8. Problems pertaining to all boy leaders will be discussed here. The general public is invited to attend this meeting. Following the meeting in the auditorium, sectional discussions dis-cussions will be held. These will be in charge of council officials. This conference, which is conducted con-ducted annually, has been held in Cedar City for several years past. It is hoped that the turnout turn-out Saturday night will be sufficient suffi-cient to warrant having the future meetings held here. |
