Show Alt VIE JOHXSTUX PASSES AWAY j Arvie Johnstun died at the local : hospital at 2:30 p. m. last Saturday. He underwent an operation on the 2nd inst. for intestinal trouble, part of one of the intestines being removed. remov-ed. It was realized before the operation oper-ation that he was in a critical condition condi-tion and little hope was was held out that he would recover. Arvie was born at Vernal, Utah, December 18, 190 6, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Johnstun. His father is the proprietor of a garage here, and his son, who had been at Roosevelt for some time,' joined his father recently re-cently and was then ailing and gradually grad-ually got worse. Funeral services were held in the Stake tabernacle Sunday at 6 p. m., The funeral being delayed so that the sweetheart of the deceased, Miss Vivian Viv-ian Holly of Roosevelt, could attend. 'liishup F. G. Miles conducted the services. ser-vices. Choir sang "I Need Thee Every Hour." Prayer was offered up by Elder B. Jarvis Jr. Quartette, "Some Sweet Day." The speakers were Elders Matthew Bentley and George Worthen. Mrs. Viola Haycock Hay-cock sang "I Know My Heavenly Father Knows." and the choir sang "Shall We Meet Beyond The River." Closing prayer was offered by Elder Albert E. Miller. Interment was made in the city cemetary, the grave being dedicated by Pres. Edw. H. Snow. |
