Show Miss Barbara Ray and Mason Barton Wed In L. D. S. Temple Tuesday Marriage vows were exchanged Tuesday at high noon in the St. George Temple by Miss Barbara Ray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ray of Santa Clara and Mason Barton, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Barton of St. George. Pres. Harold S. Snow performed the ceremony in the presence of a large group of relatives and friends of both bride and groom. Both young people are graduates gradu-ates of the Dixie junior college, the bride having graduated later from' the B. Y. U., and has taught school in Washington county the past year. Mr. Barton has been employed at the Dourfas aircraft plant in California. Friends of the bride entertained at a shower in her honor last Thursday afternoon in Santa Clara and on the same evening Mrs. Ev-erard Ev-erard Cox was hostess at a shower at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Sullivan. Interesting Inter-esting programs were given at both showers and many gifts received. re-ceived. On Sunday Miss Ray entertained enter-tained at a trousseau tea at the home of her parents in Santa Clara, many attending from St. George, Washington and Santa Clara. A reception honored the couple in the Santa Clara ward hall on the evening of their marriage. |
