Show Memorial Hall To Be Kept Open Afternoons Plans have been completed whereby where-by the McQuarrie Memorial hall will be open to visitors each afternoon after-noon beginning June 1st, with the three local D. U. P. camps and some of the stake missionaries cooperating. co-operating. In the meantime additional ad-ditional itmes that have been received re-ceived a r e being indexed and placed properly in the exhibit, and people desiring to visit the hall may call 46-W. According to plans the Foster camp is to take over Monday, Tuesday, Tues-day, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons of each week for June; the Manomas Andrus camps for July; and the Dixie camp for August; the missionaries to take over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hours are set for 4 to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday a n d from 3 to 6 p. m., Sunday. This should give all who desire, an opportunity op-portunity to see the relics. Special appointments may be made outside out-side of these hours for other visitors. vis-itors. Many relics have been added to the collection recently including the centennial birthday cake, given by Charles W. Seegmiller; a group of items from the collection of Jane T. Bleak, including a coal-burning coal-burning flatiron, a fluting iron, a kerosene lamp such as was used in the silk industry, a letter press, and other relics, and from Joseph W. McAllister a bound volume of the Juvenile Instructor of 1856. The large walnut clothes wardrobe ward-robe which used to belong Brigham Brig-ham Young given by Mr. and Mrs. John R. Wallis, has recently been set up and will be put to use. |
