PUBLIC HEALTH IS GIVEN EXPOSITION The float of the Utah Public Health Association in the World War Vets parade June 23 at Salt Lake made a plea for the necessity of a tuberculosis sanatorium for Utah and featured the modern health crusade with its system of health education in the schools of the state. The following Modern Health Crusaders Cru-saders from the Whittier school, each wearing the white crusade cape and helmet, adorned with the double barred cross, were seated around the big cross in the center of the float: Leonard Dobbs, Carl Brown, Billy Moore, Russell Bilingham, Mary Thomas, Ruby Glausier, Dian Lam-oreaux Lam-oreaux and Arville Smith. The posters on the side of the float depicited the tuberculosis situation in this state, pointing to the fact that there were 1143 deaths from tuberculosis tuber-culosis in Utah in the last five years, and that Utah is one of only three states in the union without a state tuberculosis sanatorium.
