Show VIRGIN Minerva Earl Reporter Miss Betty Flanigan, Miss Cor-rinne Cor-rinne Cornelius and Miss Verna Brinkerhoff left for Los Angeles and Burbank, Calif., last week to spend the summer with relatives. Mrs. Hettie Matthews, with her grandchildren, Peggy and Lynn Beames, arrived here last Friday from Pleasant Grove for an extended ex-tended visit with her sons, Will and George Matthews and families. Mrs. Rose Schow and sons were visiting last week with her mother, Mrs. Sarah Spondlove. Mrs. Myrtle Bowers and daughter, daugh-ter, Betty, of Cedar City, spent the week end here visiting with her sister, Mrs. Marian Bleak. Warren Bleak spent the week end at home from the mines at Iron Springs. Cadet and Mrs. Jack Schofield arrived from Salt Lake City over the week end. He is home on sick leave from Camp Kearns, where he is in training. Mrs. William Matthews has moved down from Smyth ranch for a while. Mrs. B. M. Jones accompanied her husband to Las Vegas Sunday Sun-day to visit for several days. Oscar Benton has returned from California, where he spent several sev-eral weeks visiting. Andy Gregerson of Pintura was a business visitor in Virgin last Thursday and Friday. Preston Bradshaw is in Idaho shearing sheep. Vrs. Henry Cornelius returned home last week from Los Angples where she spent three weeks visit-1 visit-1 ting her daugter and son-in-law. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whitehead. 1 and her sons, Edward and Russell Cornelius who are stationed at Santa Ana air base. |
