Show Francis H. Henderson, Bus Accident Victim, Dies In Naval Hospital ROCKVTLLE, Utah. Word has just been received by Mrs. Harold Henderson of the death of her son, Francis Howard Henderson. He was injured in a bus accident acci-dent at San Pedro, Calif., and died of a fractured skull in the San Diego Naval hospital, June 7. His body will be brought to Rock-ville Rock-ville for burial. Francis Howard Henderson was born in Rockville, May 27, 1921. He attended school at Rockville, then graduated from Hurricane high school and attended the B. A. C. at Cedar City for one I year. He was an active member of the L. D. S. church and held the office of priest at the time of his death. Frank, as he was known, enlisted en-listed in the U. S. Navy Jan. lfi, 1942, training first at the Great Lakes Naval training school for five weeks, going from there to Norfolk, Va., and then to New York, where he was assigned to the U. S. S. Brooklyn, for convoy duty. He was in the battle of Casablanca and had crossed the ocean several times. He greatly enjoyed his life in the Navy and was planning an extensive voyage on the Pacific when the war is over. He is survived by his parents, Harold and Letitia Justett Henderson, Hend-erson, a sister, Mrs. Asael Stout of Boulder City, and three brothers, Ralph Henderson in the Army air corps, stationed at Le-Grandc, Le-Grandc, Ore.; Jack and Jerry Henderson of Rockville. Funeral plans await arrival of the body from California. |
