Show Telephone Company Asks Users To Limit Long Distance Conversations The Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph company is now starting to ask the cooperation of long distance telephone users to limit their conversations over heavily loaded lines to five minutes, min-utes, S. T. Jones local manager, said today. The goal is to speed up telephone tele-phone traffic over congested routes during hours when demand is heaviest and calls are subject to delay. At such times of peak demand the operator will say at the start of conversation, "Please limit your call to five minutes others are waiting". |
