Show Mrs. Knell Cannon Honored Here On Her 85th Birthday Anniversary The home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern6n Cannon was decorated with tall jars of roses and low bowls of sweet peas in pastel shades, for the afternoon open house honoring honor-ing their mother, Mrs. Rhoda Knell Cannon, who was 85 on Friday, May 7. Many friends and relatives called during the afternoon after-noon to extend greetings and felicitations. fel-icitations. Assisting with the event were Mr. and Mrs. Jos. W. Webb of Hurricane; Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Cannon; Mrs. Walter Cannon, Mrs. Milton Burgess, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cannon, all of St. George. Mrs. Cannon received many tokens of remembrance from her children child-ren and friends. She has been spending the past month in St. George with her daughter, Mrs. Milton Burgess, but returned Sunday Sun-day evening to Hurricane, where she makes her home with Mr. and Mrs. Jos. W. Webb. |
