Show Southern Utah Wild Life Meet To Be Held Here December 12 and 13 Problems of Vital Import To Washington County Citizens To Be Discussed Problems of vital interest to southern south-ern Utah are slated to be discussed discus-sed at the Southern Utah Wild Life convention slated for St. George on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12 and 13, reports Pres. Lawrence Wadsworth, head of the county fish and game association. Fish and Game leaders of the state and state forestry officials have indicated that they will be present to participate in the convention. con-vention. Banquet Friday Night The program outlined for the convention shows a banquet Friday Fri-day night at 7:30 in the Arrow- j head banquet room. All fish and game leaders, civic, club, livestock I men and everyone interested in fish and game are invited to attend at-tend this banquet and the other meetings scheduled for Saturday. "We are anxious to have a good representation out to this convention conven-tion so that when we ask the state officials for more of the license li-cense money to be spent in this county on game projects, they will know that we are interested in these projects and really want them," declares President Wadsworth. This suggestion is receiving considerable consider-able backing from some individuals individ-uals in tl:e northern part of the state, consequent ly local businessmen, business-men, ranchers and all those who have a stake in this problem should attend these meetings and see that these problems are thoroughly thor-oughly discussed and the views of our people given." Future Policy It is pointed out that one of the main reasons for these conventions, con-ventions, which are being held throughout the state, is to help the board determine their future policy. The board is anxious to arrive at a policy that is for the best good to the most people and for that reason they desire to contact as many people as possible pos-sible and learn of the opinions of the people of the state regarding fish and game problems. It is anticipated that 25 state officials will be here to attend the convention, states Mr. Wadsworth. Wads-worth. These will include Newell R. Frei, St. George, chairman of the state fish and game commission; commis-sion; E. N. Larkin and George H. Harrison, board members. Also Mark Anderson, state director of the fish and game department; state forestry officials, game wardens ward-ens from neighboring counties, wild life association representatives representa-tives from Panguitch, Cedar City, Enterprise and Kanab. Public Meeting Saturday The program for Saturday will get underway with a public meeting meet-ing at 9:30 a. m., in the Wadsworth Wads-worth theatre. This meeting will be thrown open for the discussion of both state and local problems and county fish and game officials of-ficials are anxious that there be a large representation present. They point out that the fish and game problems is of vital importance to the people of this county and brings in a considerable amount of money. At 1:30 p.m.. there will be departmental de-partmental meetings for law enforcement en-forcement officers. This will be under the direction of state officials. of-ficials.
