Show Local People Have Relatives In Honolulu Wednesday night's late broadcast of the news stated that Honolulu had been heard from officially, and there had been no bombings since Sunday, which was happy news for everyone, but especially for local families who have members mem-bers in that area and in others of the Islands near Manila. Although no direct word has been receiyed from any of these up to a late hour Wednesday, their families are accepting the no news as good news and waiting patiently for developments. Of those anxiously awaiting word are Mrs. Mary A. Drake, who has seven of her family members in the vicinity of Honolulu, Hono-lulu, including Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Calloway and three children, Mrs. Calloway being her daughter; another an-other grandson, Forrest Hall and a son, Keith Drake, both serving in the Navy. Burke Randall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brig Randall is stationed at Wake Island; William Dixon, brother of Mrs. B. Glen Smith is listed at employment in Midway Island; and William E. Luper, brother of Mrs. Carl Eilenberger is at Camp Malacola, just out of Honolulu. Some names are coming out in the los Angeles Examiner as they are received, but since none of the above have been listed as yet, hopes are held that all are safe. |
