Show Former Dixieite Yisits Memorial Hall Tuesday Included in Tuesday's visitors at the McQuarrie Memorial hall was Elmo C. Sproul, formerly of Washington, and now of White Plains, N. Y., where he makes his headquarters in connection with his government employment on construction projects. This is Mr. Sproul's first visit of consequence home in .. more than eleven years. He has spent most of the past four years in the Panama Canal Zone and has interesting reports of his work in that area. His travels during the "past 25 years have taken him to all parts of the old world except the Orient. Gifted in music and readings, he says he finds avenues for enjoyment en-joyment wherever he is located. His many friends here will remember re-member his activities in this connection con-nection when he attended Dixie junior college. He left late Tuesday Tues-day evening' to return to New York, where he hopes to contact con-tact Mrs. Hortense McQuarrie Odium and express personal appreciation ap-preciation to her for her contribution' contri-bution' to Washington county pioneers. pio-neers.
