Show ' BUNKERYILLE, Nev. Mrs. Mary H. Leavitt ' Reporter Pfc. Norman E. Mott, who has been visiting his wife, the former Maxine Abbott, and daughter, Jo-Ellen, Jo-Ellen, in Bunkerville the past week, returned to camp yesterday. yester-day. He has been serving in the Engineers depot supply group the past four months and is now stationed sta-tioned at Camp Claibourne. La. Those who attended conference in Salt Lake City from here were Bishop Austin Hunt and wife, Roy Waite, John Leavitt, Warren Hardy, Hector Bunker and Mrs. Annie E. Cox. Mrs. Cox went to visit her daughter, Kathleen and Mrs. Hunt stopped off in Provo to visit her sister, Lois. Wendell Leavitt and Edward Leavitt visited their grandmother, Mrs. Mary A. Hafen last week while home on furloughs from the Army and Navy. Wendell is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Leavitt of Homedale, Ida., and Edward is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Parley Leavitt of Mesquite. Orval Knight has sold his farm, home and dairy interests to Walter Wal-ter Hardy. Mr. and Mrs. Knight plan to move to Idaho this month. A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Rowel Leavitt, Oct. 4, at Overton. They have moved from Las Vegas to Bunkerville to make their home. He and Kay Bunker have purchased the Darling Darl-ing ranch, about eight miles below be-low Bunkerville. The new M.I. A. officers are: Evan Waite, president, with Merle Wittwer and Irwin Waite as assistants; as-sistants; Jex Tobler, secretary for the Young Men. Mrs. Verda Hunt, president, with Mrs. Leora W. Hoover and Mrs. J. Christensen, counselors, and Norma Adams as secretary of the Young Ladies. Mr and Mrs. Kaipn nuuuM.a,, and three daughters, Mrs. Howard Starr, Mrs. Lila Mayhew and Miss Elna ' visited here over Sunday at the home of their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Thomas Adams. Ad-ams. Marion Leavitt, son of Mrs. Elmer Leavitt was accidentally hurt while helping remove the scaffolding at the home of Mrs Mary Ellen Leavitt. He was struck in the head with a plank which knocked him unconscious. He was rushed to St. George where it was found that his skuU was cracked in two places. He is still there, but reports are that he will be out of danger in a few d3Mrs. Mary A. Hafen has been quite ill the past week, but is better at this writing. Mrs E W. Leavitt is visiting friends, relatives and two children in Los Angeles this week. |
