Show Howard Carter left Sunday for Ogden, where he has employment. 9 9 9 Mr. and Mrs. Jake Jones and children of Pioche, were Christmas Christ-mas Day guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Jones of this city. 9 9 8 Mrs. Eva Higbee visited over Christmas week in Springville, with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pal-freyman Pal-freyman and family. 9 9 9 Mrs. Rodney B. Ashby arrived Monday from Leamington to visit over the New Year with her son, Rodney A. Ashby and family and attend the Temple. 9 9 9 Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff Cannon, Can-non, Mrs. Bill Baker, Mrs. Raymond Ray-mond Cannon and Mrs. Henry Crosby motored to Cedar City Monday to attend the funeral services of Evelyn Parry, father of Mrs. Earl Cannon, who died at his home Dec. 26 of heart attack. Mr. Parry is well known in this city. Mrs. Cannon who is residing resid-ing in San Luis Obispo visited in St. George Saturday on her way to Cedar City. Other children of Mr. Parry are Mrs. Marion Snow, formerly of this city and a son, Conway and daughter, Mrs. Walter Wal-ter Merryweather of Cedar City. 9 9 .9 Miss Harriet Anderson and Shirl Evans, officers of the Paro-wan Paro-wan high alumni, and now attending attend-ing the Dixie junior college motored mo-tored to Parowan Dec. 26, for the dinner-dance of the organization, returning Saturday. 9 Mrs. Hela Seegmiller and son, Donald, motored to Newcastle to visit relatives over Christmas. Ralph' J. Bennett, fireman on the Union Pacific running between Las Vegas and Yermo, Calif., spent Christmas day in St. George with relatives, as guest of his aunt, Mabel Jarvis, who returned to Las Vegas with his Thursday evening to visit over-night with Mr. and Mrs. Arden Sampson. |
