I have fairly good height, speed and a little experience, experi-ence, and as most of the fans know, these boys tide for second last year. "This year the teams appear to me to be pretty well matched and it is going to be a strong league. Whoever wins is going to have to play ball. It is hard to say who will finish where." Coach Slater graduated from the U. S.A.C. in 1938, and received re-ceived his M. S. Degree in physical physi-cal education in 1941. He has had one year teaching on a fellowship fel-lowship at the U. S. A. C. His first year of coaching was at Par-owan Par-owan in 1939-40 where his team finished tied for second place. Last year he coached at Cedar and his team again finished tied for second. He expresses the hope that he and his boys can do as well this year, but there are plenty of fans who think that this will be the year for first place.
