Mr. and Mrs. Kelsey operate a small hunting cottage in the Pine " Valley Mountains above New Harmony Har-mony and the two couples spent ten days there. Mr. Kelsey has a trio of fine hunting dogs which helped greatly on the hunt. The first lion treed by the dogs was plenty scared and took his chance on a jump, made it, and dashed into a nearby cave. The two men followed, Mr. Fitz landing land-ing his shot while Mr. Kelsey held the flashlight. The dogs then dragged the lion out. Mrs. Fitz bagged the second lion, proving herself to be as good a shot as her husband, who is a veteran hunter of the jungles. The third fell to the luck of Mr. Fitz. Trained in taxidermy himself, Mr. Fitz preparer!' the pelts thoroughly before they left. "1 Both he and Mrs. Fitz were intrigued in-trigued with the scenery in this area and visited Zion Park before taking the train at Cedar City for their return trip. |
