Show Sports, Dance Program To Be Held In Hurricane On July 4th HURRICANE, Utah The American Ameri-can Legion and Auxiliary of Post No. 100 have arranged a program of sports and dances to celebrate the 4th of July. The program will begin at 10 a. m. and is under the direction of Mrs. Howard Kleinman and Mrs. Emil Graff. The program will be as follows: History of the Star Spangled Banner, Donald Staheli; song, "The Star Spangled Banner" by congregation; congre-gation; patriotic dance, "Stars and Stripes Forever", Jane Judd and Alice Ruesch; reading by Goddess of Liberty, Merlene Ballard; trombone trom-bone solo, Shirl Graff; speach, Wayne Hinton. Vocal solo, "Johnny Doughboy", Garth Sandberg; reading by Uncle Sam, represented by R. P. Woodbury; Wood-bury; piano duet, Irene Hinton and Donna Sandberg; vocal duet, "Liberty Bell", LaVema Graff and Vernet Hinton; song "America", by congregation. There will be a children's dance in the early evening, sports in the afternoon and fights and a dance in the evening. These will be under the direction of Commander Dr. E. C. Mclntire. |
