Slack Mrs. Lois Iverson Reporters Correction: In last week's Toquerville news, an item appeared saying that "Mrs. Heber Naegle had returned ! home after spending the past ten months in Salt Lake City." An error was made at the News office of-fice in copying the item, it should have read, "Mrs. Annis ; Naegle has returned home after ! spending the past two months in I Salt Lake City." Mrs. Anna Laura Anderson is here for a few weeks from Bould- j er, Nevada where they are living , for the present. Miss Doris Bringhurst is here j visiting with her parents, Mr. and I Mrs. W. M. Bringhurst. She has been employed at Long Beach, California. Mrs. Lois Iverson and Mrs. Pauline Terry were visitors In Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. R. I. Higbee have gone to California where they will spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Tillman Twitchell of Delta are here visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben For-sythe. For-sythe. Mr. and Mrs. Hezkiah Dufin of Aberdeen, Idaho were week end visitors here with her brother H. M. Wallace. On Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. Frank Anderson entertained at dinner at their home honoring Cpl. LaVon Beatty and his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Beatty; Cpl. and Mrs. Wm. Parkinson and their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Parkinson, all of Pintura. Cpl. Beatty left Sunday to report back to Fort Lewis, Wash, and Cpl. Parkinson will return to Fort Douglas Jan. 2, for re-assignment. Cpl. and Mrs. Ronald Bracken visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Wallace. Cpl. Bracken has been training at Camp Roberts and will report this week end at Fort Ord. The Toquerville Mother's club united Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Parkinson of Pintura Pin-tura in entertaining at a social and dance honoring their son, Cpl. Wm. E. Parkinson and bride who were recently married. The couple received many gifts. Also honored on this occasion was Cpl. LaVon Beatty who was home on furlough. Speakers at our Sacrament meeting Sunday were Morris Hin-ton Hin-ton and Wilford Leany of Hurricane. Hur-ricane. Sgt. and Mrs. Sumner Sterns arrived Sunday from Spokane. Washington to visit Mrs. Stern's parents. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Slack. Sgt. Sterns is on furlough from the Pacific area and joined Mrs. , Sterns in Spokane where she has j been visiting the past two months. He returned to San Francisco Dec. 19. 1 |
