Show Indians To Give Entire Program At Annual Missionary Party Tonite Not a white person will be officially offici-ally on the porgram when the Indians of the Shevwit Reserva-I Reserva-I tion have their pre-Christmas i program at the reservation chapel I this Thursday evening, beginning at 7:30. Dr. and Mrs. G. D. Hyatt are directing the program, which is an event annually sponsored by the St. George stake missionaries. There will be community singing, sing-ing, prayer by Frank Mustache, welcome address by Carolyn, the nine year-old grandaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Yellowjacket; "Jolly Old St. Nicholas by the group of younger children; dances and rythm band numbers by a group of the small children trained train-ed by Mrs. Hyatt; vocal quartette, "White Christmas" by Nevada Smokey, Dorothy and Evelyn Marble and Utahna Tillohash; the Indian's story of Christmas by Foster Charles; "Christmas Cradle Song" by the girls' chorus; Indian In-dian song and dance in costume by Tony Tillohash and company. At this stage of the program, (Continued on page eight- Indian Christmas (Continued from first page) there will be a second number by the rhythm band then all will join in singing "Jingle Bells" as Santa enters and distributes the gifts. There will be gifts exchanged ex-changed by the Indians and an hour of dancing. The closing prayer will be by Foster Charles. This year the Indians will miss the fine work of Supt. and Mrs. O. B. Fry, who have helped to make their annual programs successful. suc-cessful. However they have not been forgotten. Mr. and Mrs. Fry who are now at Whiterock, Utah sent a generous contribution for the party. |
