The allotment of $110,000 in E bonds, as well as the balance of the quota was over-subscribed, and the committee are pleased to state that the major part of the purchase was by individuals and small units. As in .other issues, there were certain amounts from the state as well as other large purchases allocated to the county for credit cre-dit and with these considerations, every town in the county was able to meet its full quota. Santa Clara, Leeds, New Harmony, Veyo, Enterprise, and Pine Valley went over the top during the early days of the drive and their fine success spurred on the efforts of the entire county, reports Pres. Glenn E. Snow. Responsibility for putting this drive over has been largely in the hands of Albert E. Miller, R. M. Reber and V. J. Frei and their associate workers throughout the county, all of whom appreciate the support-and cooperation given and the fact that Washington county did not lag behind. |
