Show Six Washington Co. Teachers Enrolled In Classes Of TJ. of U. Summer Session Six Washington county teachers enrolled in classes for the summer sum-mer session at the University of Utah, according to an official "U" news release. Arvilla Pace, teacher in the St. George elementary school, will study education, and has enrolled for an active part in the new "Reading Clinic", conducted by a visiting Stanford University expert ex-pert in reading problems. Laboratory Labor-atory work for this class will consist con-sist of classroom teaching of retarded re-tarded readers from the Salt Lake City school system, by the aid of many new mechanical and functional func-tional devices. Alice Burch Robinson, elemen tary school teacher of Washington county, will study education and physical education during the six week summer school. She is a native of Ogden. Bessie Snow, elementary school teacher of St. George will study library science during the summer. sum-mer. She taught first and second sec-ond grades last year, but will teach mathematics and have charge of the library next year. Miss Snow obtained a Bachelor, of Science degree from the Stale Agricultural college in 1934. Linna Snow, dean of girls and teacher of English at Dixie college col-lege will study contemporary problems prob-lems in European and American literature and guidance of girls. Bert Sullivan, principal of the Leeds elementary school has enrolled en-rolled for classes in biology and zoology, and Glenn M. Webb, music teacher of Hurricane, will study education and English. Elizabeth Eliz-abeth Roundy of Alton, in Kane county, was signed up for education edu-cation and physical education. She is teacher of the first, second, and third grades in the Alton school. |
