Show MESQUITE Mrs. Daisy L. Reber Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pace and daughter, of Nelson, Nev., spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Abbott. Ivan Tobler has returned home from Hawthorne, Nev., where he has been working. Washington Leavitt of Los Angeles An-geles spent several days visiting in the valley with friends and relatives. rel-atives. He plans on taking his mother, Mrs. Lena Leavitt,, back to Los Angeles with him for the summer. Derald Jensen, who is working at San Diego, Calif., spent the Fourth home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Jensen. Mrs. Mary Reber is spending several days in Salt Lake City, visiting with her daughter Caroline, Caro-line, who is attending the Hene-ger's Hene-ger's Business college. Mr. and Mrs. Emmet Barnum of Pioche spent the week-end visiting vis-iting here. Ben Knight has gone to Nelson, Nel-son, Nev., where he has employment. employ-ment. About 40 people from here participated par-ticipated in the Temple excursion held last Tuesday. The Singing Mothers sang, "In the Garden", in the opening meeting. Mrs. Mary Frehner gave a birthday birth-day party for her son, Fenton Dale, at the home of Mrs. Melva Leavitt, Sunday afternoon. Fenton Fen-ton Dale was eight years old and was baptised on his birthday. Hannah Terry spent the Fourth here with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Leavitt of Nelson, Nev., spent the weekend week-end her with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Leavitt and Mr. and Mrs. William Pulsipher. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Christen-sen Christen-sen of Pioche, visited here with Mrs. Christensen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Leavitt. Mrs. Christensen was formerly Miss Mary Ann Leavitt. Mrs. Dodson of Idaho is visiting with her nieces, Mrs. Randall Frehner and Mrs. Marion Higbee. LaVoid Leavitt of Hawthorne, Nev., is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs .Alfred Tobler. |
