Show Federated Clubs Elect Panguitch Member Pres. For Coming Year The delegation of ten women from Panguitch motored through snow storms to win the election at the Southern District Federation conference con-ference held in St. George last Saturday, placing the 1942 conference con-ference in Panguitch. Margaret Daly was elected president, pres-ident, with Mrs. Earl J. Allen, director, Mrs. D. L. Haywood, Secretary. All three come from Panguitch. Florence Corey is historian his-torian and Mrs. Arthur Jones, publicity manager, both from Cedar Ce-dar City. Retiring president, Roxey S. Romney is also a director. di-rector. Manila Cook of Panguitch won first place in the Federation poetry contest with her poem "Spring in Contrast" and second place went to Ileta Dowdell Reid of the same place, with her "Prayer for Patriotism." S. chapel (Continued on page eight) Federated Club Election (Continued from first page) was a riot of pear and apple blossoms blos-soms and lilacs for the business and general sessions of the conference con-ference at 9:30 and 10 a. m. and 2 p. m. and the banquet rooms of the Arrowhead hotel were decorated decor-ated with bowls of sweet peas, and fruit blossoms. Most of the visitors had come from Cedar City, Beaver, Panguitch, Parowan, Ka-nab Ka-nab and Salt Lake City where snow and cold are still prevalent and were happy to have a conven- tion in "Sunny Dixie" for in spite 5 of the stormy day, St. George did ! wear her spring apparel.
