Show j ! CORRESPONDENCE ENTERPRISE Enterprise, Mar. 3. Born, a son to Mr. and Mrs. John Z. Alger, Jr., Feb. 2 6. This is tiie fifteenth child horn to this worthy couple. We had a light snow fall this morning and the prospects look favorable for more before the weather weath-er clears up. Several of the men folks came in from the Nevada highway Saturday to attend the elders conference. William Lund has been on the sick list the past week with a very bad cold. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Pulsipher have returned from St. George. The Y. L. M. I. A. gave a Leap Year party Friday night. BEAVER DAMS Beaver Dams, Ariz., Mar. 3. Car-lyle Car-lyle Roberts paid a visit to his uncle, J. R. McKnight, last Wednesday and then continued on his journey to Los Angeles, California. A wedding dinner was given Friday Fri-day by Mrs. Clarence Leavitt in honor of her daughter Blanche, who was married Feb. 28 to Bill Bennett. John Bowler and son Milton were here Thursday from Veyo, Utah, on their way to Mesquite Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Clark McKnight made a trip to Mesquite Sunday. Wright McKnight left Friday for the hills to herd sheep. Mrs. J. R. McKnight is on the sick list. IVINS Ivins, Mar. 3. The stork brought a fine baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ed-ward R. Frei, Jr., Mar. 2nd. The mother and babe are at Santa Clara and are doing nicely. Milo Ence has the basement and foundation in for his home. He intends in-tends putting up the walls this week. Martin Gubler intends finishing his house soon, so he can move his family here this spring. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Laub of Santa Clara were visitors here last Sunday. LEEDS Leeds, Mar. 4. Mrs. Mary C. Olsen is at Hurricane visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Win. Sullivan. Lawrence McMullin, Ruth Stirling and Dixie Scott went to St. George Friday. Mrs. Vier McMullin entertained the ladies H. G. L. club Friday. Amnion Jolley made a business trip to La Verkin Monday. John L. Seevey of Salt Lake spent Sunday here on business. William Twitchell spent Sunday in Cedar City on business. Mr. and' Mrs. Edwin Dalton went to St. George Saturday. I WASHINGTON ! Washington. Mar. 4. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Morrison who have been spending some weeks here visiting relatives, left Wednesday for their home in Monroe. Mrs. Melissa Turnbeaugh, Mrs. Ruth Peterson. Athole Judd and Oscar Carlson left Wednesday for Cainesville. The dance given on Washington's birthday was given by the Primary instead ot the school, as reported last week. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jolley of Springdale spent Sunday here. They were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Jolley. Lafe Jolley of Cedar City was in town Monday visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Jolley. Mr. Maria Funk spent the past week in St. George. She returned homo Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Zera Hunt and family fam-ily of St. George have moved onto their farm here. Wilford Stephens returned Monday Mon-day from Nevada where he has been herding sheep. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Sorenson of St. George were over Tuesday visiting visit-ing relatives. Andrew Sproul returned Monday from the coal prospect near Gunlock. William Gould returned Monday from Las Vegas, Nevada. James R. Cooper returned Monday from the Muddy valley. VEYO Veyo, March. 3rd. Bishop and Mrs. Jas. L. Bunker spent last week in St. George. The bishop's health is poor and he was down for medical treatment. Sheep men were here last week trying to buy hay. Their sheep are in a bad fix, but most of the hay here has been sold and they were unable to get the amount wanted. Bishop Bowler, J. S. P. Bowler and Henry Bowler of Gunlock spoke in our sacrament meeting Sunday. We surely enjoy visitors at our meetings. meet-ings. John H. and Miltfin Bowler returned return-ed the latter part of the week from Bunkerville, Nevada, where they had been for a load of honey bees. The Dixie Nursery agent was in town last week doing business. He sold several hundred trees, mostly apples, in this locality. Bp. James L. Bunker and John H. Bowler went to Enterprise Sunday afternoon on business. Lemuel S. Leavitt has moved to his homestead at the Meadows to commence com-mence spring work. John Benson of Enterprise was in town' last week contracting for stock. Miss Ruevo Heywood has gone to St. George to stay some time. We had a light storm last night. GUNLOCK Gunlock, Feb. 25. Elders Walter Cannon and Karl N. Snow were speakers at our sacrament meeting Sunday. They gave good and timely time-ly talks, which were greatly enjoyed by all present. Heber Hunt and his mother, also his sister Lulu and Bp. F. O. Holt have gone to Bunkerville, Nev., to attend at-tend conference. Leo Bowler and Lylian Jones spent the week end here hut returned to St. George where they are attending the Dixie College. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Chadhurn of Veyo and several of the young people were down to the time here Friday night. Miss Alice Wilson is here from St. George to visit her sister. Mrs. Henry Bowler for a few days. The M. 1. A. gave a time on Wash-! Wash-! ington's birthday, which was a grand j success. PINE VALLEY Pine Valley, Feb. 26. Bruce and Lizzie Snow invited the residents of Pine Yaliey to supper on Saturday : evening and a very nice time was spent. " There was an error in saying Mai in Cox had moved to Central, he only moved to his own home in Pine Valley. Val-ley. Miss Lizzie Snow came home from i St. George to spend Washington's birthday. Erastus Gardner has gone to Farmington to see about stock. Rex Gardner has gone to the Sand i to work a week or ten days. Peter E. Beckstrom has gone to j St. George.
