Show Funeral Services Held At Pine Yalley For Lucy Snow Gardner PINE VALLEY, Utah. Funeral services were held in the Pine Valley ward chapel, Thursday, Oct. 5, at 2 p. m., for Lucy Almira Snow Gardner, 83, wife of Reuben Gardner, who died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edgar M. Jensen in Provo, after a lingering ling-ering illness. Bishop Malin Cox conducted the services. The pallbearers pall-bearers were her six sons-in-law: Henry L. Jones, Cedar City; Edgar M. Jenson, Provo; J. Henry Jen-son, Jen-son, Ephraim; Glenn E. Snow, St. Gorge; Myron Stout, Salt Lake City; and. Lee Beckstrom, Pine Valley. There were many floral offerings. Music Numbers Music numbers for the services deluded a vocal duet, "Whisper-jig "Whisper-jig Hope", by Lucile Johnson and Lois Gardner, Pine Valley; solo, "Calvary", Annette Bettenson, Cedar City; violin solo, "Elegie", "of. Earl J. Bleak, St. George; ?nd solo, "My Faith In Thee", J. Fen ton Gardner. Mrs. H. C. Thomas of St. George read, "A "Ule Parable for Mothers". Miss Linna Snow of Pine Valley, niijce of Mrs. Gardner, Gard-ner, was the only speaker. She told intimately of this Dixie pioneer pio-neer woman, saying her life was a sermon in itself. Kindness and service, given unstintingly, were her outstanding characteristics. She kept a perfect home and still found time for music, art, poetry, Bible reading and beautiful handwork. hand-work. Mother of 12 children, nine of whom a r e still living, she guided their lives with unusual patience and tolerance. Her faith was outstanding, and even through long years of affliction, she was courageous and uncomplaining. Prayers At Services Prayers were by Henry L. Jones and Levi Snow, the grave in the Pine Valley cemetery being dedicated dedi-cated by A. O. Gardner of Delta. Family members from out-of-town attending the services included in-cluded Dr. and Mrs. Clarence S. Gardner, Oakland, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Jones, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones and daughters. Beverly and Gloria, of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. J. Henry Jenson, Ephraim; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn E. Snow and children, St. George; Mrs. J. William Pulsipher, Richmond: Mr. and Mrs. Myron Stout. Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Gardner and Margaret Gardner, all of Delta. |
