Show Miss Joey Covington and LeGrande II. Frei Marry Here Saturday United in marriage in a beautifully-arranged home wedding ceremony cer-emony at high noon Saturday, Nov. 14, were . Miss Joey Covington, Cov-ington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert L. Covington of this city and LeGrande H. Frei, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Claud Frei of Santa Clara. Counselor Vernon Worthen of the stake presidency performed the ceremony in the presence of the two immediate families at the home of the bride's parents. For the ceremony the bride wore a street suit of heather blue with brown accessories. Her corsage cor-sage was a single orchid. The couple were unattended, except for the groom's brother. Donald Frei, who was best man. Mrs. Mae A. Pace and Mrs. Irene Everett furnished music during the entire ceremony. Present among those who witnessed wit-nessed the ceremony besides the parents of both bride and groom, were three sets of grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Jos. W. Prince of this city, grandparents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Frei; and Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Hafen of Santa Clara, grandparents of the groom. Both bride and groom are graduates grad-uates of the Dixie junior college of 1941. During last winter the bride attended the L. D. S. Business Busi-ness college in Salt Lake City and has since been employed in the local hospital at stenographic work, to which she will return shortly. Following the ceremony the bride's parents served a buffet luncheon at the home after which the couple left for Salt Lake City, where Mr. Frei plans to enlist in aviation mechanics, for which he has been training the past several sev-eral months. They plan to return re-turn to St. George this week end. |
