Show Hurricane To Get U.P. Bus Service . Soon HURRICANE, Utah It was announced an-nounced Friday that the Union Pacific Bus Line, starting the fore part of October, will run two buses through Toquerville and Hurricane, furnishing transportation transporta-tion to and from these communities communi-ties to approximately 2000 people. This convenience was promoted through the combined efforts of Mayor Gene Wadsworth and Dean Clark of Hurricane with Ed Tobler, Wilford Thompson, Lawrence Law-rence and Arthur Kleinman of Toquerville, who spent Sunday through Thursday in Salt Lake City with the Union Pacific and Interstate Commission endeavoring endeavor-ing to get a franchise and bus schedule through Hurricane. After five days of conference, it was agreed that the Union Pacific bus line should send two buses daily over Highway 17, one from Los Angeles and a second from Salt Lake City. The Salt Lake City bus, en-route en-route to California, will leave Highway 91 at Anderson's Junction Junc-tion and will arrive in Hurricane at 6:49 p.m., leaving Highway 17 at the 17-91 junctions. The bus from Los Angeles enroute to Salt Lake City will arrive at 12:40 p.m. |
