Show To The Citizens Of Washington County BY J. M. MOODY In the News of August 31, I wrote an article making a appeal ap-peal to the Sportsmen of Washington Wash-ington county. E. S. Gardner has seen fit to answer this with a personal attack on me. In my article I did not refer to any person or in any way cast any reflections on the character of the men mentioned by Mr. Gardner. Gard-ner. These men are above reproach re-proach as far as I am concerned. All I attempted to do was to make an appeal to the Sportsmen to try to get them interested in their own problems and to turn out to these yearly meetings and elect the men they feel will uphold up-hold the object of the organization. organiza-tion. I feel that it is an injustice to the public to impose on their time to further private disagreements disagree-ments but I would like to say just (Continued on page seven) To The Citizens (Continued from first page) a few things in answer to the article of last week. In referring to the one meeting he said I did not attend although notified, I was called to California on account ac-count of the death of my sister and could not be in attendance. In justice to Game Warden Stratton Strat-ton I will say that I received information in-formation that some parties were killing deer in Utah and selling them in Las Vegas. Mr. Stratton investigated but was too late as the men had left the state. They were .however, apprehended in Las Vegas by Game Warden Anderson and fined S100..00 and 25 days in jail. Mr. Stratton has been doing all he can to uphold the law and all citizens should cooperate and report cases that the law may be enforced. I would like to ask the public to read carefully the two articles and judge the facts for themselves. |
