Show B. C. Farnsworfh Dies At Enterprise Monday Took Active Part In Church, Civic And Educational Affairs ENTERPRISE, U t a h Bartlett Canfield Farnsworth, born in St. George May 19, 1881, died at his home Monday, July 3, of heart trouble. Bart, as he was commonly called, call-ed, lived in St. George until 12 years of age when his father was called to Manti to act as recorder in the Manti Temple. The family moved to Manti and Bart received his education in the schools there and later at the Snow Academy at Ephriam. In 1902 he was called to fill a mission mis-sion for the Mormon church in the Central states mission, remaining re-maining there two years, after which he made his home in Enterprise. Enter-prise. In 1909 he was married to Lillie Holt in the St. George Temple and to this union five children were born all of whom with his widow survive him: Mrs. B. L. Wadsworth of Provo; Raymond Ray-mond Farnsworth, of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Roy L. Mowers, of Salt Lake and Irwin and Clayton of Enterprise. Three grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive him: David of Jamestown, N. Y.; Dewey, of Sacramento, Calif., and Clara, Birney K., and Philo T. Farnsworth, Farns-worth, all of Salt Lake City. During his life in Enterprise, Mr. Farnsworth has been unusually un-usually active in civic and church affairs. He was a member of the first town board ever organized and was town clerk and treasurer at various times. At the time of his death he was secretary of the Enterprise Canal company, a position which he has held for many years. He was also school board member from this district, having held this position for 16 years. In church affairs he had been both president and teacher in the Y.M.M.I.A.; teacher in Sunday school, active in priesthood priest-hood quorum and was tithing (Continued on page four) Bart Farnsworth Death (Continued from first pagel clerk under Bp. George A. Holt for many years. Mr. Farnsworth's first serious heart attack came in September, 1938, and since that time he has been unable to do much active work. Last Sunday, however, he spoke in church, but Monday Morning, July 3, he passed away. His son, Raymond, was home for a vacation at the time and the married daughters and all of his , brothers, excepting David and his , sister, Clara, arrived soon after , receiving word of his death.
