Show Dixie Slih Loses Two Gaines To B.A.C. High The Dixie high school football team lost two close games to Cedar, one at Cedar, 13-7 and the other yesterday, (Wednesday) on the local field by a score of 19-6. In the first game the Fliers outplayed the B.A.C. squad in so far as yardage and first downs were concerned, but were unable to put the ball into pay territory. In the game here, two cleverly executed plays by the Cedarites sent their ball carriers into the open and away to touchdowns. While the B.A.C. team came out on the long end of the score in both games, local fans declare that the games were both well played and interesting to watch. In the game at Cedar the Dixie bovs really out-played the Cedar squad, but failed to cash in on their scoring opportunities. The game ended with the boys a yard-and-a-half from the "Cedar goal line. This last period was played in a steady down-pour of rain which" made the field slippery and the ball hard to handle. |
