Show w Let's Live Up To The Game Laws Fish and Game officials and enforcement officials report that every effort will be made this year to enforce fishing and game laws. As a step in this direction two men were arrested and arraigned before the Justice of the Peace at Enterprise and charged with fishing before the season was officially opened. Officials state that they know that there have been violations of the game laws in the past and will probably be some in the future that they won't "catch up with". However, the public is warned that every effort will be made to arrest the law breakers. Good sportsmanship should be a vital part of every sportsman. And good sportsmanship includes living up to the laws or regulations that it has been found are necessary in order to give every sportsman an even chance. When so-called sportsmen break the game laws they are taking an unfair advantage of every other sportsman. After all, there is a limited number of fish and game and they must Ik? protected by laws or regulations in order that all may be given a chance to partake of the sport. For this reason we urge that hunters and fishermen give thought to the fact that there are others just as interested in-terested in being able to make a fair catch. And, they are warned that if they are caught breaking the law, they will be given the full penalty of the law. In our opinion it is poor sportsmanship for a man to see another deliberately de-liberately break the game laws and then withhold that information from the enforcement officials. |
