HOLDS INTERESTING MEETING; 15ERTHA McGltEGOR SPEAKER OF THE EVENING The local chapter of the National Na-tional Federation of Business and Professional Women's clubs held its first meeting of the new year in the dining room of the Dixie College Science building on Wed-; nesday evening, January 15. The1 speaker of the evening was Mrs. j Bertha McGregor, who treated the; subjects "Women ht Public Of-! fice," "Trained Women and the Economic Crisis," and "Well; Groomed Women." The remaind-! er of the program consisted of a ! tap dance entitled "Drums" by II. j T. Pace and a vocal duet. "Into the Dawn With You," by Mrs. Louie Smith and Mrs. Anne Pace. "All efforts on the part of the city to beautify our surroundings have come about through the leadership lea-dership of women." said Mrs. McGregor Mc-Gregor in her discussion. "It is the duty of every woman in St. George to see that we get a city park." And later. "Women understand un-derstand that brains alone will not keep their jobs, they must be neat.! pleasant, charming, efficient, and must lend these qualities to the I office or the schoolroom which ; they occupy. A well groomed woman wo-man is an asset to any office." Arrangements for the meeting were made by the program com-! mittee consisting of Miss Tiilie I Winsor, chairman. Mrs. Beth G.
