Show Miss Bette Lu Seegmiller And LeGrande Spilsbury Married Here The St. George Temple was the setting of the Wednesday noon marriage of Miss Bette Lu Seegmiller, Seeg-miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Seegmiller to LeGrande Le-Grande Spilsbury of Salt Lake City, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie P. Spilsbury of Cedar City. Pres. Harold S. Snow read the ceremony cere-mony in the presence of a large group of relatives and intimate friends. Following the marriage, a family wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents. In attendance were the groom's parents, and his brother, Arlington Spilsbury and wife of Cedar City. A wedding reception honored the bride and groom at the Seegmiller Seeg-miller home Wednesday evening. Members of the bridal party besides be-sides the bride and groom included in-cluded the parents of both, with Mrs. Steve Asmus of Cedar City, matron of honor, Miss Helen Hafen and Miss Beth Andrus as bride's attendants, and the groom's brother as best man. For the reception the bride wore an empire gown of white slipper satin with lace yoke and regal train. Her finger-tip veil of white silk net was fastened to a dainty bonnet hat with orange blossoms and was the bride's own creation. Mrs. Mack Crandall, sister of the bride was in charge of the program which included vocal solos by Mrs. Arthur Paxman, the Misses Rhoda and Noma Andrus, Mrs. Clyde McQuaid, Miss Rowen Bigler, who was also accompanist; a reading by Mrs. Eleanor Smith, piano solo, Frank Miles, guitar and vocal numbers by Miles Nelson and Mrs. Crandall, vocal solo Arlington Spilsbury and community com-munity singing. The couple left this (Thursday) morning for Salt Lake City to make their home. |
