Show Howard Bringhurst Dies Suddenly At Home In Toquerville, Tuesday TOQUERVTLLE, Utah Howard Bringhurst, 72, died at his home here Tuesday evening, November 22, at 7 o'clock from acute gastritis. gastri-tis. He had complained of a pain in his chest for the past week, but went about his work. Tuesday evening he went to visit his neighbors, neigh-bors, returning home he lay down on his couch and died without a struggle. Funeral services were held Friday, Fri-day, November 26, in Toquerville with Harvey Theobald conducting. The opening prayer was given by Martin Anderson and the benediction benedic-tion by Bp. William Manning of Cedar City. The grave was dedicated dedi-cated by Bp. Leo Bringhurst. Speakers were Pres. James Judd. of LaVerkin; Riley C. Savage, of Leeds; and Pres. Claude Hirschi, !of Hurricane. Musical numbers included in-cluded the following: "Lead Kindly Light", and "O, My Father", sung by Mrs. Nora Newell, Mrs. Powena V. Slack. Grant Terry and Kenneth Ken-neth Slack; duet number by Marie Beatty and Wilma Kleinman; double duet number by Mesdamcs Josephine Jones. Maxine Slack, Wilma Kleinman and Marie Beatty Rom in 18f!5 Howard Bringhurst was born in August 1 !. 185, in Salt Lake City. He was the son of the Into William A. and Selinda Palmer Bringhurst. They moved to Toquerville when he was a small child. lie married Laura Davis of To-quorviile To-quorviile and to them wore born the following children: Mrs. Carrie i Chatieiioy. of Kannb: Leland.
