Show School Board Opens Bids For High School Building At a meeting of the Board of Education of Washington County School District held December 19 at 1 p.m., bids were opened for the construction of the Junior high school building, consisting of gymnaisium, home making, and shop for St. George and surrounding surround-ing towns. Present at the opening were board members, Supt. and Clerk H. C. Pope and his son, Theodore, of the firm of Pope and Burton, architects of Salt Lake City, Wallace Wal-lace R. Wayman, resident engineer inspector PWA and a number of contractors. Bids were opened from the following: Christensen-Gardner, Christensen-Gardner, Inc., Enoch Chytraus, Lichfield and Menlowe, John Ok-land Ok-land Jr., Salzner and Thompson, (Continued on page eight) f School Bid ; (Continued from first page) and H.
