Show Elementary School News I Our school is busy preparing our Christmas program which will be I presented Wednesday, Dec. 20, in i the Elementary Gym at 6:30 p.m. jThe public is invited to attend. 1 Miss Pitchforth's Second Grade I We are very busy getting ready i for Christmas. We have our tree and we are making pretty things to put on it. We think it is the prettiest tree" in the school. Every I one of us are going to be in the program in our room. We want i our parents to come to it. Our i borders are up and we will soon have our room and the tree decorated. Miss SeeKiniller's Fifth Grade Last Wednesday we visited the public library. We wrote stories about the trip. We have chosen this story for the News: Our Trip to the Library Wednesday, our class visited the County Library. Mrs. Romney showed us how to use the library. One of the things that she told us was how to use the card catalogue. She also showed us how to use the Readers' Guide. She showed us the arrangement of different books and also told us the rules of the library. I am always going to try and keep the library in good order, j Beverly Moody We had our 100 word spelling list. The people who had perfect, scores were: Dorothy Blankenagel, Pauline Hafen, Frank Snow, Jean Bowler, Flora Brooks, Darlo Es-plin, Es-plin, Gregg Snow, Lawrence Reichmann, Esther Judd, Ellen Raye Cottam, Norlene DeSwan, Fred Xannon, Marion McArthur, Cleo Sullivan, Loyd Leany, Betty Mae Bowman, Jeannine Harris, Clairon Williams, Beverly Moody, Max Seegmiller, Karl Carpenter, Clark Cox and Don Hewitt. We have our Christmas border up now. Three panels are of Santa Claus and three are of the Christ child. Miss Woodbury's First Grade Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells! How happy we are! Christmas is coming! com-ing! We are getting ready. La Verna told us of a good way to be happy. She said, "I know how to be happy at Christmas. I am happy when I give presents away!" , 1 We think La Verna knows how i to be happy. ' We are singing many Christmas ! songs. And we are reading many Christmas stories.
